"I believe it was 2011 when my wife and I first got our Auto policies with him. He was nice. Over the years we'd have annual checkups with his staff to revisit our policies (home and auto) and each time were promised excellent coverage as we wanted (almost) all options and are very prudent people who legitimately feel much better when they have a solid insurance policy. Finally have an accident, today, 9/27/24, and only **now** find out they failed to include rental coverage as part of our expensive 'all-inclusive' policy. Worse, we were promised a call back to arrange it and waited 3 hours. Called to ask on progress but it was now after 5PM so a national agent was left to break the news to us. The app, meanwhile, is down, so all the advice to track the claim through the app was useless. We were still just waiting there for State Farm's assistance like idiots. I shook Jared Dean's hand and told him what we wanted. More than a decade later and I find out I never had it. It feels like betrayal. Find a better agent if you're going with State Farm. We now have to deal with additional subrogation BS - exactly what a good policy, which I was led to believe I had, would avoid. One star."

"He does absolutely nothing besides cash checks. His staff (besides 2 employees) are absolutely rude and very standoffish. Unless you want to upgrade your current insurance package... you get 5 star service. If not, best of luck to you."

"I had spoken with Erin M W. last month regarding making my payment. She was helping out while my Agent was busy with another client. As it turned out this month Erin returned my latest phone call because I was updating some information. Sadly, I found out my Agent was no longer with Jared Dean State Farm (so) I asked Erin if she would be able to take me as her Client & she said , "yes". I felt an ease last month when discussing my State Farm business with Erin & I am glad we will be working together. "I have used State Farm in the past for auto and home insurance and had an ok experience. I ended up switching insurances due to pricing being better elsewhere. I ended up coming back to them for a requote because I figured I had a ok experience with them before, maybe their rates had gotten better. Their rates had indeed gotten better to match what I had been paying elsewhere. We gave them all of our information and told them about everything they would find when looking at driving records etc. I ended up agreeing to a full package of house, auto and even an umbrella policy which I paid for in-full for a year for the home owners and umbrella, 6 months for the auto. Unfortunately 1.5 - 2 months later, I got a phone call saying they needed to increase my auto rates (double the rate) when we had no accidents or tickets which should have caused an increase. They said they had reviewed our file further and said they had undercharged us from the beginning and we would have 2 weeks to find new insurance or accept the premium increase. Finding home insurance takes a decent amount of time to do with all the questions and hoops insurance companies ask. When it was getting close to the deadline, we said ok we will pay the higher premium on a monthly basis until we have time to finish requoting everything. State Farm then said oh sorry we didn't have our quote correct for the new rates and proceeded to give us an even higher rate. At this point, we are wondering how can this be so unprofessional. Give me a rate and if I agree to it and pay it, stick to it. After escalating this issue and really getting nowhere (apparently State Farm branch managers dont have time to deal with minor issues like this), I was told everyone that needed to be was aware of the issues and that coaching would be done to the agent that quoted me the policy. They had no regard for the time wasted getting this policy setup and then quoting new policies elsewhere after I already had a bound contract with them. Safe to say, we ended up switching insurance companies and are back at the normal rate we had been seeing. I would recommend using someone else for insurance that can give you straight information from the start and their management isn't so tone-deaf to their actions. This is one of those cases where 0 stars would be a more appropriate rating."
